Our Heritage Group, is a not for profit organisation, desperate to share our stories with the world.

The Brave project focuses on the beautiful heroines of post war Britain who left their homes in Africa and the Caribbean and served as nurses in the NHS. Despite your amazing contribution to the National Health Service, many of our stories remain unheard and we seek to share these positive, thought-provoking and personalised stories. A project inspired by our local heroines for our forgotten communities. Without these brave people, the NHS would have struggled on.
